Etchu Yatsuo Tourism Hall
The Hikiyama Festival, Yatsuo's spring ritual passed down since the 1740s, symbolizes the prosperity of Yatsuo merchants who thrived through the production and trade of raw silk, silkworm seeds, Japanese paper, and charcoal.
Amidst this affluent lifestyle, the Hikiyama floats and local performing arts have been continuously preserved.
The exhibition hall displays three Hikiyama floats at all times, accompanied by the elegant Hikiyama festival music.

Yatsuo Owara Museum

At the Yao Owara Museum, you can view exhibits on the history of Owara, its songs, dances, costumes, and instruments. In the video exhibition room, you can enjoy the fantastical and elegant imagery of Owara.

Echizen Yatsuo Base OYATSU
Built in 1872. This renovated traditional house was once the residence of a merchant who dealt in raw silk and Echizen washi paper and also ran a sericulture operation. Enjoy a specially prepared lunch and a live performance of the traditional Owarai dance right before your eyes.

Enjoy a course meal featuring mountain delicacies and meats prepared by local chefs in a historic building.
